Green CSCS Card

This card is only available for people working in labouring occupations and completed either 1 day H&S Course, NVQ L1 or IOSH Working Safely.

Why get a Green CSCS Card?

Launched in July 2014 this new entry-level card has been specifically designed to cater to those working within the construction industry as a labourer.

Whether you’re still undecided about the trade you wish to study, or require some more construction experience, obtaining this card will demonstrate that you have the health and safety knowledge required to be on site.

The card is valid for 5 years and can be renewed.

Want to renew a Green (Site Operative) CSCS Card?

The Construction Site Operative CSCS Card stopped being issued in July 2014 so you will not be able to renew it. CSCS has replaced it with this card, the Green (Labourer) CSCS Card which requires one of the courses below.

Prior to applying for the card applicants must have completed the appropriate CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test.

There are other qualifications that also give you eligibility for this card, so please contact us to discuss your eligiblity for this card   .

You should also have taken and passed the Health & Safety Test.

Please note: SSSTS, SMSTS and NEBOSH General will not be accepted as routes to a Trainee card.

Once you have completed your NVQ and have an upto date Health and safety test,  you will be able to apply for the suitable CSCS card.

Once you have successfully completed your industry-recognised qualification you will be able to apply for other types of cards, from red to green, blue, gold and black.
